In October of 2004 I married the most wonderful man on God’s green earth. It wasn’t long into our marriage that he started encouraging me to remember what keeps me feeling young and happy. I then started to recall my love for the arts. Growing up, my mother was always painting and drawing and even now I have her paintings framed throughout my home. She and I used to sit together on Saturdays and draw together. I love those memories. I did manage to take some painting and drawing classes as a youngster, but was always discouraged at how long it took for the final product. So I eventually got bored and felt too frustrated to develop the talent. It wasn’t until marrying Matt that all this began to surface again. Anyone that has met my husband knows of his love for bicycles so since he was riding every saturday, I seized the opportunity to get into a hobby myself that I could spend time doing on my Saturdays while he was riding. So one day I just decided to do it and went out and bought my first nice camera and signed up for a class in Greenville. I was in love!! Photography gave me the satisfaction that drawing did, but with an instant product. Almost four years later my passion and talent have continued to grow and develop. I love what I do and I love people. The day I picked up a camera was the day I quit working. I hope that my images inspire you in some way and that you see the world all the more beautiful because of them.
